Workshop on Conflict Resolution and Building Democratic Federal State

The Workshop on Conflict Resolution and Building Democratic Federal State sponsored by Hanns Seidel Foundation (Myanmar) was held at the Department of International Relations, University of Mandalay on March 14 and 15, 2019. Dr. Soeren Keil from Canterbury Christ Church University gave lectures on Federalism and Democracy. On 15 March, Mr. Kyaw Lin Oo who is an associate director at Center for Peace and Reconciliation (CPR) and a member of Technical support at Peace Commission, Mr. Zaceu Lian who is a long-time advocate for democracy, federalism, human rights and peace in Myanmar and a fellow of the Prestigious 2017 Draper Hils Summer Fellows Program on Democracy and Development hosted by the Centre on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law (CDDRL) at Stanford University, USA, and Mr. Aung Soe Min who is a program manager of Hanns Seidel Foundation (Myanmar) headed the panel discussion. Teachers and students were actively participating in it.
